Frankie LucasDirector

    Frankie was born in Montgomery County, Maryland. When he was born, both of his parents were police officers in Takoma Park, Maryland. He spent his childhood right outside Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Blacksburg, Virginia, where he spent his teenage years, into adulthood.  Although Frankie’s parents had a law enforcement background, he found himself on the other side of the fence. He began to struggle with substance abuse as a young teenager and into adulthood.

     

    Frankie is now in long-term recovery and uses his past struggles to help others. He has been with Arise & Flourish since 2017. He is the Chairman of the Speaker Committee and is a valued board member. Frankie has personally spoken to thousands of children, sharing his story, and educating them on the cycle of addiction.

    Frankie now lives in Falls Church, Virginia. Frankie works as a server at The Quarterdeck, a famous seafood restaurant in Arlington, VA.   He is very active in twelve-step recovery programs.  He is always willing to be of service, and he values being part of the solution in helping others.
